This is a buying checklist, not a technical specification. Agree the work with the contractor and follow any requirements from your surveyor, solicitor or water company.

When you have the quotes

Compare two or three quotes and get follow-up questions for anything missing.

  1. Check that each quote covers the same work and report.
  2. Ask about anything missing, unclear or priced separately.
  3. Check the total including VAT before choosing.
  4. Keep the agreed quote with the final report and video.
